The Vermillion seabass, also known as the Jewel Grouper or the Coral Hind (Cephalopholis miniatus) is a species of fish in the Serranidae family.
Vermillion seabasses are red with blue spots with a body length of 24.5 cm and a common size of 30-40 cm.
Cephalopholis miniata feeds mainly on fishes, Pseudanthias squamipinnis (sea goldie) and crustaceans.
